Beauty Naturally

Not the pretties in the world, but these awesome little cubes can be stored in the freezer meaning they are fresh and ready when you need. They pack a punch with all the benefits of coffee, vanilla and coconut oil in one neatly packaged personalised little cube. One for the entire body is all that is needed and they don’t have the coarseness of sugar or salt like a lot of body scrubs, so you can use them on a more regular basis if you choose.

Coffee, Vanilla & Coconut Body Scrub Hearts

Three simple ingredients makes them cost effective and easy, although the shower can get a little messy! I tend to make small batches of everything, so feel free to double the ingredients if there is not enough for you liking. I don’t recommend these as gifts unless you are sure they are going to end up straight in the fridge or freezer as they will melt!

What You Need

  • 1 cup coffee grounds
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup shea butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

To Make

  1. I use the grounds from my morning coffee, but make sure all the excess liquid is drained. Just squeeze it through some cheesecloth.  Add the coffee grounds to the coconut oil. If you coconut oil is firm, just place the jar in hot water and it will quickly turn to liquid, or alternatively you can melt in a double boiler.
  2. Add the vanilla essence
  3. Pour into molds, I just use ice cube molds are they are the perfect size, place them in the freezer. Once they are frozen pop them out of the molds and store in an air tight container back in the fridge or freezer.
